International Students: Bringing the World to North Cross
Discover the rich tapestry of cultures that thrive at our school! With 42 international students from 14 countries, our community is truly global. International Day offers a special platform where these students proudly host tables dedicated to their home nations. Parents, faculty, and staff help these students with planning their tables, and also in preparing an item of food from these countries.

Parents, Families, Faculty, and Staff: Our Cultural Ambassadors
International Day truly shines thanks to the vibrant involvement of our parents, families, faculty, and staff. They enthusiastically embrace the role of cultural ambassadors, transforming our event space with beautifully decorated tables representing their countries. Each display is a visual delight, adorned with national flags, authentic artifacts, and colorful embellishments that celebrate the unique heritage of every nation.
Beyond the stunning visuals, participants generously share small samples of traditional foods from their homelands. This allows students and all our visitors to embark on a delightful culinary journey, savoring international delicacies. From piquant curries to exquisite pastries, the array of cuisines offers a truly gastronomic adventure for everyone!

Students Explore and Engage With Global Cultures

Our Lower School students embark on an exciting "passport" journey, collecting stamps and uncovering fascinating facts as they visit country tables. Each stop offers a chance for hands-on activities like trying on traditional clothing, playing cultural games, or sampling unique cuisines. Our fifth-grade students have the unique opportunity to delve deeper, learning about a specific country and helping to manage its table as part of a Social Studies project.
Art Connects Us All: A Global Gallery
International Day is also a vibrant celebration of creativity, showcasing how art bridges cultures! All students are invited to submit original works of art, drawing inspiration from their home countries, places they've visited, or themes celebrating our diverse global community. Our Upper School students collaborate directly with the Art Department to design and create a stunning centerpiece, adding an artistic focal point to our event. This collective artistic effort beautifully illustrates the universal language of art and our interconnected world!

Community in Concert: Our Music and Dance Celebration
As International Day draws to a close, we come together for a heartwarming finale of music and dance. The voices of our school choir and the instruments of our band fill the air with international tunes. Adding to the spectacle, parents and families share the beauty of their heritage through traditional dances. It's a perfect, spirited ending to a day spent celebrating the rich tapestry of cultures within our global family!
